Where did Spring go?... oeo?

Ok, according to this, yesterday was the first day of Spring. But where did Spring go? Weather keeps having ups and downs. Can't really decide if it's still Winter of Spring. Still cold and rainy. Yesterday was a good day though. Still cold, but sunny. Seemed really promising. So, today came and we are back where we started. Oh, how I long for those warm, sunny days! I'm tired of wearing heavy jackets and coats, scarves and sweaters.
Has Spring come your way yet?
Η άνοιξη ήρθε κατά τη μεριά σας ή ακόμα;

Goodbye Google Reader - Hello Bloglovin'

As you may have noticed (it goes around web the last few days),
Google Reader is closing down.
You can read all the details here.

If you're using Google Reader to follow my blog, consider switching over to Bloglovin'. I've been using it for a couple of years now and I think it's a great simple tool for keeping up with all your favorite blogs. It's much simpler and quicker to use. Instead of scrolling through all the posts you get a quick title, photo and opening paragraph for each post. That way it's easier to find the posts that you want to read. You can also take a look at my previous post about it.
Here's what the layout looks like:
On the left side bar you can see a list of all the blogs that you're following.
You can also create categories/files and keep them more organized.
On the right main column you can see the blogs' feed sorted by blog or date (whatever you choose).

The other great thing about Bloglovin' is that when you click to read a full post it takes you to the actual blog. Google reader didn't do that, so you've usually been missing the opportunity to see the actual layout of each blog, its banner, sidebars and all the cute stuff that each blogger puts a lot of work and energy into so that he/she can make his/her blog feel more like "home". This also gives the blogger precious "views" that help increase blog's visibility even if you don't leave comments.
You can also "like" favorite posts as a way to bookmark them for later but also make them more popular. Another great feature is that you can discover new interesting blogs if you check  the list of "Popular Posts" or "Top Blogs" on the top of the left side bar. That way I've started following some gorgeous new blogs that I might not have bumped into otherwise.
So, consider giving it a try! Signing up is for free and super easy. All you have to do is go here, create your account and you can follow all of your favorite blogs. You can also easily import the blogs you already follow on Google reader. Just click here to import your blogs. Oh, and don't forget to follow mine too.
Thank you so much for your love and support!
I hope that you find this post useful.

Rustic Way Whimsical House

An article about Rustic Way, a neat little company based in Minnesota that specializes in building whimsical tiny structures out of reclaimed wood. The company is called Rustic Way and the owner is Dan Pauly. He took his love for salvaged and reclaimed wood and started to make several different designs using his whimsical theme. Dan now builds a variety of structures from small play houses to a large guest house. The buildings are custom. Dan works very closely with each customer to achieve a final result that is a perfect match for his client’s needs. The little building ranges in size. The smallest is a six foot depth and the largest to date is a twelve foot depth. The entrance size is about one and a half foot narrower than the depth. So, if you ordered an eight foot building the width would be six and a half feet. The height of the building is 13’6″. Dan also builds beautiful furniture from reclaimed wood and does other exterior work. He enjoys using reclaimed wood that has been around for hundreds of years. He loves to bring out the beauty of the old wood in varied forms. You can view more of his work at the RusticWay website.
