Something Special...

I've made something special for my mom. Although I'm against smoking and I've tried to convince her too many times to quit it, now that she's started using tobacco instead of cigarettes, I've made her a little pouch so that she'd carry all of her stuff with her in style. I chose a photo of Monica Bellucci as Malèna, a great movie that if you haven't seen it you should!

 Έφτιαξα κάτι ιδιαίτερο για τη μαμά μου. Αν και είμαι κατά του καπνίσματος και έχω προσπαθήσει πάρα πολλές φορές να την πείσω να το κόψει, τώρα που άρχισε να χρησιμοποιεί καπνό αντί για τσιγάρα, της έφτιαξα ένα μικρό τσαντάκι για να κουβαλάει όλα τις τα πραγματάκια με στυλ. Διάλεξα μια φωτογραφία της Monica Bellucci από την ταινία Malèna, αν δεν την έχετε δει πρέπει να την δείτε.

I've made myself a mini wallet. I've printed two quotes that speak to my heart and each time I read them make me feel really optimistic about the future. Just like some kind of brainwash for every day motivation.

Έφτιαξα για 'μένα ένα μικρό πορτοφολάκι. Τύπωσα δύο ρητά που μιλάνε στην καρδιά μου και κάθε φορά που τα διαβάζω με κάνουν να νιώθω πραγματικά αισιόδοξη για το μέλλον. Κάτι σαν πλύση εγκεφάλου, μια καθημερινή ώθηση.

Οκ, τώρα είμαι σίγουρη! "Η δουλειά των ονείρων μου δεν υπάρχει, πρέπει εγώ να την δημιουργήσω!" και " Πιστεύω ότι μπορώ γι'αυτό και θα το κάνω!" ;-)

Our Weekend In Paxos

I forgot to mention about our weekend in Paxos.

Ok, now it's official! I'm IN LOVE with Paxos! This place is magical and  whenever I'm there I'm feeling so calm and peaceful. Yes, I can even see me living there!
What can I say about this island? The traditional houses? The olive groves all over it? The AMAZING-OUT OF THIS WORLD beaches with crystal clear waters? This time I was introduced to Antipaxos too and -OH-MY-GOD!- the Caribbean waters exist in Greece too! We stayed in Lakka and Harami beach is by far my favorite beach on the island!

Ξέχασα να αναφέρω το Σαββατοκύριακό μας στους Παξούς.

Οκ, τώρα είμαι και επίσημα ΕΡΩΤΕΥΜΕΝΗ με τους Παξούς! Αυτό το μέρος είναι μαγικό και όποτε βρίσκομαι εκέι νιώθω τόσο ήρεμη και γαλήνια. Ναι, μπορώ ακόμα και να με φανταστώ να μένω εκεί! Τι μπορώ να πω γι'αυτό το νησί; Τα υπέροχα παραδοσιακά του σπιτάκια; Τους ατελείωτους ελαιώνες; Τις ΦΑΝΤΑΣΤΙΚΕΣ-ΑΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΠΤΕΣ παραλίες με τα κρυστάλλινα νερά; Αυτή τη φορά γνώρισα και τους Αντίπαξους και -ΘΕΕ ΜΟΥ!- τα νερά της Καραϊβικής υπάρχουν και στην Ελλάδα τελικά! Μείναμε στην Λάκκα και η παραλία Χαραμί είναι τελικά η αγαπημένη μου από όλο το νησί!

Oh, Summer...

Summer days are just going by and it won't be long until they'll over, so all you have to do is try to make and keep as many sweet memories as possible to keep you warm on these long, cold winter nights. ;-).

Imagine as if you had a bottle and you'd fill it up with all the beautiful things about summer that you'd want to remember forever.

Me and my bo-boy decided to join forces and promote each other. This Weekend...

Living on an island sometimes can be a blessing or a curse, because you aren't really on vacation but in some way you are. Well, I like to see it as a blessing because whenever I want to (ok, whenever I'm free from work and stuff...) I can go to the beach, relax and pretend that I'm on the holidays of my life!

So, this weekend, let's create some beautiful memories because it won't be long until we realize that Summer is over!

Το να μένεις σε νησί καμμιά φορά μπορεί να είναι ευλογία ή κατάρα, γιατί δεν είσαι ουσιαστικά διακοπές, αλλά κατά κάποιο τρόπο είσαι. Ε, λοιπόν εγώ προτιμώ να το βλέπω σαν ευλογία γιατί όποτε θέλω (οκ, όποτε είμαι ελεύθερη από δουλειά κ.τ.λ.) μπορώ να πάω στην παραλία, να χαλαρώσω και να προσποιηθώ ότι κάνω τις διακοπές της ζωής μου!

Γι'αυτό, αυτό το Σαββατοκύριακο, ας δημιουργήσουμε μερικές όμορφες αναμνήσεις γιατί δεν θα αργήσει η στιγμή που θα συνειδητοποιήσουμε ότι το καλοκαίρι τελείωσε!

DIY Jewelry Holder

Today I'm going to show you a really easy idea that you can use as a jewelry holder on your wall or night stand or even on your booth at a Craft Fair.
Σήμερα θα σας δείξω μια πραγματικά εύκολη ιδέα που μπορείτε να την χρησιμοποιήσετε για να κρεμάτε τα κοσμήματά σας στον τοίχο ή οπουδήποτε στο δωμάτιό σας ή ακόμη και να το χρησιμοποιήσετε σαν σταντ στον πάγκο σας σε κάποιο παζάρι κ.τ.λ.

You'll need two (or more) plain canvases, screws and electric screw driver to make your life easier

and two hinges (I don't know if Google Translate is quite accurate about this).

Θα χρειαστείτε 2 (ή περισσότερους) απλούς καμβάδες, βίδες και ηλεκτρικό κατσαβίδι

για να κάνετε τη ζωή σας πιο εύκολη και 2 μεντεσέδες.

Start by putting each hinge to the place you want and mark with a pencil the holes for the screws.

Ξεκινήστε τοποθετόντας κάθε μεντεσέ στο σημείο που θα το βιδώσετε και με ένα μολύβι

σημαδέψτε τις τρύπες για τις βίδες.

Carefully start screwing. I think it would be easy if you just hit each screw with

a hammer first and then use a simple screw driver,

but since my brother has this electric one I didn't bother trying.

Προσεκτικά ξεκινήστε να βιδώνετε. Νομίζω ότι θα ήταν πιο εύκολο αν χτυπάγατε ελαφρά

κάθε βίδα με ένα σφυράκι και μετά την βιδώνατε με ένα απλό κατσαβίδι,

αλλά αφού ο αδερφός μου είχε το ηλεκτρικό δεν δοκίμασα αλλιώς.

Here is what it'll look like when you're finished.

You can also add a third part like I did.

Μπορείτε να προσθέσετε και ένα τρίτο κομμάτι

You can pin a piece of fabric, cloth, lace or whatever you feel like it

so that you can pin/hang your jewelry or just leave it as it is and

just make little holes for hanging your earrings.

Μπορείτε να καρφώσετε ένα κομμάτι ύφασμα, δαντέλα ή ότι άλλο θέλετε

ώστε να μπορείτε να κρεμάσετε τα αξεσουάρ σας ή απλά να το αφήσετε ως έχει

και να κάνετε μικρές τρυπούλες για να κρεμάτε τα σκουλαρίκια σας.

Hello August!

 The days go by and I haven't noticed that it's been 15 days since my last post.

It's been a crazy month! CRAAAZY!

I've been busy with work, I broke up with my bo-boy, went through a personal drama, got back again, sold several bags and purses, had many custom orders, enjoyed time on the beach, got out with friends, my sister came from Berlin, went to a wedding, we had a great time, my sister had an accident with her car, fortunately she's safe and sound but the car is ruined... and so on and so on...

Hopefully, August will have some better things to offer.

Today I'm leaving for Paxos.

It's been a year since my last visit there and I'm super excited!

I think I need this break.
