Alex from My Serendipity has invited me to play this game. It's called 5 things I love and 5 things I hate about blogging. So, here's my list:
1. I can share my interests and creations with the world.
2. I get in touch with so many other creative and
inspiring people with the same interests.
Exchange ideas and inspirations.
3. I can "play" with the appearance of my blog,
change the background, the layout and make it feel more like "home". I'm IN LOVE with my blog!
4. The lovely, kind, inspiring, encouraging or even criticizing comments. I LOVE GETTING COMMENTS!
They help me improve myself and my technique.
5. TUTORIALS! Oh, I TOTALLY LOVE THEM!
I want to thank each and everyone that has ever put time and effort to "pass the knowledge"!
(well, I think the things I hate are referred to
others' blogging habits - Don't HATE ME for this!)
1. Blogs with music. I HATE IT! There's nothing worse than being at work, browsing through the internet, pretending you are working and suddenly out of nowhere to hear a LOUD music (why is it always SO LOUD?!), sometimes not even close to your taste. You are caught in the act! I usually open the blogs and posts that interest me in separate windows and it's really frustrating trying to find out which one has THE STUPID music so I can turn it off. No offence people, but it's true! I'd like to choose when and where I'll hear some music.
2. It's really annoying when a blog has only one post per page. I have to push over and over again the "Older posts" button just to see the previous post. Why are you doing that? I get bored!
3. When I see the same subject all over the blogsphere over and over again. Ok, someone makes the start - CONGRATULATIONS on the inspiration - but this doesn't mean that EVERYONE ELSE has to do the same thing. Most of the times it seems to me that we're following the same blogs and some people just re-blog others' posts as if they have discovered America. We've already seen it like
A MILLION TIMES BEFORE, you know!
(that doesn't include the chain-blog games like this one. Some of them are fun and help know each other a little more better, plus they are different for one another.)
4. Word verification for comments. I think it's useless and time consuming! I have so many favorite blogs and I'd want to be able to visit as much as I could everyday and comment to each and every one of them but with word verification... hmm... probably I couldn't make it in 24 hours. So many times I've left without leaving a comment because my connection was too slow and I had to load and reload the page, or the verification didn't load properly or didn't match and I had to re-type it e.t.c. Comment moderation does the same thing but even better, you can actually check the comments before they get published so you save your blog from many spams (I know I did).
5. (Stop being MEAN!) The last thing I hate about blogging is not being able to get to meet in real person all the fun, interesting, talented, inspiring, crafty fellow bloggers from around the world. That would be SO NICE!
(note to reader: I'm sorry if I have offended you or made you sad. I'm all up to freedom of speech e.t.c. and I defend everyone's right to do what they please but sometimes it's good to put some extra thought on your actions. I'm just saying...)
I'm not going to invite anyone in particular to play along.
You are ALL invited to share your thoughts!
Thank you for playing with me!!!Πολλά φιλιά!!!:)
