Δεν το έχω αναφέρει αλλά ίσως το έχετε ήδη ανακαλύψει. Έχω και έναν λογαριασμό στο Instagram. Μπορεί να μην εμφανιζόμουν συχνά στο μπλογκ μου, αλλά το Instagram Profile μου είχε αρκετές ενημερώσεις.

Lost & Found

It's been a week already. Last Tuesday this little beauty came to us so frightened and hungry. I had to take her in and search for her owner (if someone is searching for her or just "lost" her on purpose). Still no sign of anyone. I've put posters around our area, on gas stations, kiosks, vet clinics, post it on Facebook and other groups but no luck.

I still have no idea what I'm going to do with her, should I keep her or not? Whatever the case, she's surely isn't going back to the streets. I'll make sure she finds a good home, whether it'll be mine or not. :-)

Έχει περάσει ήδη μια βδομάδα. Την περασμένη Τρίτη εμφανίστηκε αυτή η κουκλίτσα κατατρομαγμένη και πεινασμένη. Δεν μπορούσα να μην την μαζέψω και να ψάξω για τον ιδιοκτήτη της (αν την ψάχνει κανείς ή δεν την "έχασε" επίτηδες). Ακόμα τίποτα. Έχω βάλει αφίσες στην γύρω περιοχή, σε βενζινάδικα, περίπτερα, κτηνιατρεία, στο Facebook και άλλα σχετικά groups αλλά καμία τύχη.

Ακόμα δεν έχω ιδέα τι θα την κάνω, να την κρατήσω ή όχι; Όπως και να έχει, σίγουρα δεν θα ξαναγυρίσει στους δρόμους. Θα της βρω ένα καλό σπίτι, είτε είναι το δικό μου ή κάποιο άλλο. :-)

Has Spring Touched You Yet?

Spring has sprung already, hasn't it? Are you in a good mood or what? Days are getting longer, the sunshine comes through every open window, the temperature is getting higher, flowers are blooming and we all get a little bit more optimistic, aren't we? 

I came across a beautiful tutorial for a Spring Wallflowers Sign at A Beautiful Mess Blog, that is so cute that I had to share it with all of you. I don't know if I'll give it a try or not, but just by looking at it makes me feel happy!

Ήρθε η Άνοιξη επιτέλους, έτσι δεν είναι; Έχετε καλή διάθεση ή όχι; Οι μέρες μεγαλώνουν, το φως μπαίνει από κάθε ανοιχτό παράθυρο, η θερμοκρασία ανεβαίνει, τα λουλούδια ανθίζουν και όλοι γινόμαστε λίγο περισσότερο αισιόδοξοι, έτσι δεν είναι;

Είδα αυτό το πανέμορφο tutorial για Spring Wallflowers Sign στο A Beautiful Mess Blog που είναι τόσο χαριτωμένη που έπρεπε να την μοιραστώ μαζί σας. Δεν ξέρω αν θα το δοκιμάσω ή όχι, αλλά απλά και μόνο που την κοιτάζω με κάνει να νιώθω πολλή χαρούμενη!

The Pursuit Of Hapiness...

I came across this story and I felt that I had to share it.

After all, it's a positive thought.

Έπεσα πάνω σε αυτή την ιστορία και ένιωσα πως θα έπρεπε να την μοιραστώ.
Έτσι κι αλλιώς, είναι μια πολλή θετική σκέψη.

from a site-specific, experiential installation of an artist

called Martin Creed.

Once a group of 500 people were attending a seminar. Suddenly the speaker stopped and decided to do a group activity. He started giving each person a balloon. Each person was then asked to write their name on it using a marker pen. Then all the balloons were collected and put in another room.

The people were then let into that room and asked to find the balloon which had their name written on itwithin 5 minutes. Everyone was frantically searching for their name, colliding with each other, pushing around others and there was utter chaos.

At the end of 5 minutes no one could find their own balloon.

Then, the speaker asked each person to randomly collect a balloon and give it to the person whose name was written on it. Within minutes everyone had their own balloon.

The speaker then began, "This is happening in our lives. Everyone is frantically looking for happiness all around, not knowing where it is.

Our happiness lies in the happiness of other people. Give them their happiness; you will get your own happiness. And this is the purpose of human life...the pursuit of happiness."

So, how happy are you today?

αλλά από μια βιωματική εγκατάσταση ενός καλλιτέχνη που ονομάζεται Martin Creed.

Κάποτε μια ομάδα από 500 άτομα συμμετείχαν σε ένα σεμινάριο. Ξαφνικά ο ομιλητής σταμάτησε και αποφάσισε να κάνει μια ομαδική δραστηριότητα. Άρχισε να δίνει σε κάθε άτομο από ένα μπαλόνι. Στη συνέχεια, κάθε ένας από αυτούς καλούνταν να γράψει το όνομά του σε αυτό χρησιμοποιώντας ένα μαρκαδόρο. Στη συνέχεια, όλα τα μπαλόνια συλλέχθηκαν και τοποθετήθηκαν μέσα σε ένα άλλο δωμάτιο.

Ύστερα τους άφησε να μπουν σε εκείνο το δωμάτιο και τους ζήτησε μέσα σε 5 λεπτά να βρει ο καθένας το μπαλόνι που είχε το όνομά του γραμμένο. Όλοι έψαχναν μανιωδώς για το όνομά τους, συγκρούονταν μεταξύ τους, σπρώχνοντας γύρω από τους άλλους και υπήρχε το απόλυτο χάος .

Στο τέλος των 5 λεπτών κανείς δεν είχε καταφέρει να βρει το μπαλόνι του.

Στη συνέχεια, ο ομιλητής ζήτησε από κάθε άτομο να συλλέξει τυχαία ένα μπαλόνι και να το δώσει στο πρόσωπο του οποίου το όνομα ήταν γραμμένο σε αυτό. Μέσα σε λίγα λεπτά ο καθένας είχε το μπαλόνι του.

Ο ομιλητής στη συνέχεια είπε, "Αυτό συμβαίνει στη ζωή μας. Όλοι αναζητούν μανιωδώς την ευτυχία γύρω τους, χωρίς κανείς να ξέρει πού βρίσκεται.

Η ευτυχία μας βρίσκεται στην ευτυχία των άλλων ανθρώπων. Δώστε τους την ευτυχία τους. Θα πάρετε πίσω τη δική σας ευτυχία. Και αυτός είναι ο σκοπός της ανθρώπινης ζωής... η επιδίωξη της ευτυχίας."

Suddenly, a lot of babies around here. I can't stop making and getting orders for newborns or parents to be. I'm making a lot of presents too.
Ξαφνικά έχουμε γεμίσει μωρά εδώ γύρω. Δεν σταματάω να φτιάχνω ή να δέχομαι παραγγελίες για νεογέννητα ή για μελλοντικούς γονείς. Φτιάχνω και πολλά δωράκια.

It wouldn't look cute just in a plastic bag or wrapped in paper, right?

Yeah, I thought so too, so I've made her a different kind of diaper cake.

Η φίλη μας η Θωμαή χρειαζόταν έλα θήλαστρο, κι έτσι είπαμε να της το αγοράσουμε εμείς.
Δεν θα έδειχνε ωραίο όμως απλά μέσα σε μια σακούλα, έτσι;
Ναι, αυτό σκέφτηκα κι εγώ, γι'αυτό της έφτιαξα μια διαφορετική τούρτα με πάνες.
