Vido Summer Camp Medals

Today I'd like to show you another creation that I've made for my kids in summer Camp. We have organized a play and everyone that got involved have won a handmade medal. It was a simple craft, yet very impressive to their eyes.
This is what I've used.
Toilet paper rolls (lots of them!)
I've cut them in stripes
With my hot glue gun I've glued
5 pieces together creating a star
Lots of stars!
Then I've took out my bottle cup stash
and hot glued a cup on the center of each star.
I've sprayed a little silver paint
(although it didn't show but
I haven't had any other color)
and added a piece of string.
ALL SET!
Do You Like It?
The kids have loved them!

Your Opinion Is Needed

(image via We Heart It)
I can't recall the amazing artist who
made this INCREDIBLE creation!
I need your opinion on something. I'm trying to make my blog as interesting as possible and I'm willing to make some changes, so... I was wondering if you could tell me which topics are more interesting to you or even which  of my weekly posts seemed to you more appealing. Did you miss any of those while they were gone? I'd love to know what you think. Your help will be most appreciated! Thank you Very much for your support! :-)

My Wish List

My current Online Class Wish List
contains the following:
1. Elsie's Retro Beauty School

Beauty-school-promo
and Leigh-Ann's
I hope I'll be able to register to both of these pretty soon.
They seem like a lot of fun and really educational. Especially the Home Ec. I've always wanted to learn how to use my sewing machine properly and be able to make all these amazing crafts that I see around all the time. I'm sure that those three ladies will have a lot to offer because they are very experienced and so qualified. Maybe I'll see you in class! ;-)

A Fun Summer Camp Creation

Hello everyone! I know I may be a little boring and repeating myself the last few days but I can't help it. Summer Camp is all I do right now and it's taking up most of my energy, so bare with me... there are just 2 more weeks to go. :-)

Today we made these Paper Pots made out of newspaper's strips and glue.

I've seen the tutorial here and I wanted to try it out. Looked so easy. Well, I'm sorry to admit that "my kids" aren't that cooperative... plus our time for crafting is limited, so the result isn't so satisfying, well at least for me. Anyway, here are some pics of the whole process and some of their creations.
Regardless our result, you should try it out.
It's so easy and the possibilities are endless.
You can decorate it with so many things,
plus you can use so many different containers as "mold".
I'd love to see your creations.

Catching Up

I'm back again. WOW! Seems like ages since my last post. Time flies when you are running like crazy! The latest news are:
- The RVA Summer Camp is finished. Well, at least the final project has been posted and through the 30 projects that I had to do I only have made... 4! :-( Shame on me! I have the excuse of actually being on a Summer Camp, so that's how I comfort myself for the lack of  free time.
- My "real" Summer Camp is almost over. 2 more weeks to go until August 6th. It's been a refreshing but also really tiring experience but I know I'll miss it. So, here are my last few days captured on pictures.
Katherine's Birthday Wishes Book
Theodora's Birthday Wishes Book
More creations out of clay
Alexandros made this "hot air balloon"
or at least he tried to make it look like one.
Tattoo madness!
Everyone wanted me to paint them a tattoo
with water colors.
Alexandros was my "little helper" on this.
He was quite good actually.
He made this
and that and I've made all the others.
Do you like them?
Last Saturday we went out for dinner to a nice Italian type restaurant.
It was cute. But the food hasn't fulfilled our expectations.
(empty plates because we hardly ate anything- hahaha)
It was TOO SPICY for our taste.
Then we went out for a casual drink and
once again took silly photos of us.
I'm sorry, we just can't help it!
On Sunday we went to Starbucks
and this was our view from the balcony.
We haven't been there for quite some time
and I really liked it.
I had my favorite Caramel Frappuccino
or should I say "dessert"
with all this cream & caramel and stuff.
Caramel Frappuccino® Blended Coffee
So, what have you been up to lately?

Birthday July

I don't know how to explain it, but it seems that July is a pretty good month for births! The last 2 weeks we had 4 birthday parties and we have also another one tomorrow! We make fun of it by saying "I think December was a really busy month ;-) " -you know, 9 months before... ;-) Get it?- hahahaha Anyway, the kids are super excited every time, they are waiting the birthday cake with such and anticipation and also there's the surprise of The Birthday Wishes Book which has become a tradition so far. Every time I have to come up with something new so that none is the same with the previous. Everyone should have their own, unique design. It's a challenge but I really enjoy it. So, let me share some photos of my creations so far, their birthday cakes and also some random creations that we have made. I'd like to know what you think...
