My Creative History

Well, I think it's about time to talk a little bit about my Creative History, don't you think? I'm afraid it's going to be a really long post.
Ever since I was a little girl I've always loved drawing. I TOTALLY LOVED COLORS! I mean TOTALLY! Even in my early years in Kindergarten I hardly ever used black in my drawings.
This was one of my favorites.
She supposed to be Cindy Loper,
my favorite singer during that time
because she had multi-colored hair!
In Elementary School my love for drawing had grown. I was drawing all the time, on anything, sketch pads, books, my school desk... nearly everywhere. The thing that I liked doing during that time was trying to copy things that I liked simply by looking and sketching them. I think this was a really good practice.
Copy of an illustration from my school book.
Well, actually the baby and the butterflies
all the other designs are mine.
The fascination never ended, as I kept trying to copy any image that I found interesting. From fairy tale books, comics, even cartoon characters painted on my bed's sheets.
While practicing on this I was also doing my own drawings and designs. I remember how I had "a thing" for fashion. I was always drawing dresses and shoes and girls with fancy hair does.

I was also doing a lot of sketching without
ever finishing coloring them.
As I was growing, so did my "talent", or this need to create. I kept drawing and sketching whenever I could, just for the fun of it. I have never thought of myself as "talented" or "gifted" or whatever you would want to call it. Maybe I had "a good hand" that has never been developed, I guess, and a great need to keep my hands occupied.
I haven't really practiced painting.
I've made some efforts using water colors
but I've never been really satisfied with the results.
No one has ever taught me the "right" way.

In High School I started filling my books' margins with cartoon characters that I've been creating while I was bored in the classes that bored me the most. As I look behind now, I think Chemistry and sometimes History must have been my ultimate boring subjects! hahahaha My books where filled with doodling!
(to be continued...)
I'd love to know
what you think, so far...
