My Sticky Notes Folders Imroved

You know the saying "The student always goes a step further from the master"? Well, I don't consider myself a "master", neither all the people that follow my blog are "students", but it was the first thing that crossed my mind when I saw the INCREDIBLE things that Irini made based on my Sticky Notes Folder Tutorial. I'm an amateur compared to that!
Aren't these BEAUTIFUL?!
Well done Irini!
I can't wait to see more of these,
so if you make something like that, send me a link.
I'd love to share it!
Go check some more here.

Scrapbooking - Traditional & Digital

Yesterday I discovered the magical world of Digital Scrapbooking! I decided to give a try to some free stuff that I've downloaded some time ago. I have one thing to say... Digital Scrapbooking? - SUPER FUN! At first I thought that the result wouldn't be so good. I've always thought that technology can't be compared to the actual ART but maybe I was wrong. Ok, I admit that there is nothing like being able to touch and feel the materials and  textures but the result is as beautiful as the "real one". For the following pages I've used two kits that I've downloaded from Luna Rosa's Scraps (Grandma's House & Autumn Blessings), an amazing site that offers almost everyday Digital Scrapbooking freebies (papers & elements). I've printed some of the papers and they look pretty good actually.
With the String Theory papers I've started this mini album.
I've cut some cereal boxes, stitched and glued on them some of the String papers. I've also made two pockets where I've put the tags that I've made a couple of days ago.
For the cover I've made my own embellishments out of clear plastic and carton which I've colored them with acrylic paints and decorated with buttons (based on a idea from the book 52 Scrapbooking challenges).
It's not finished yet but I love it already!
I'm improving, aren't I?
Tell me what you think!

Our Story Booklet

I haven't made anything special for my bo-boy for a really long time. Or at least, that's how long it seems to me. I'm starting falling in love with Scrapbooking more seriously this time, meaning I'm trying to do it more "professionaly".  So, the other day as I was staring a small cardboard box that I had around from a delivery, I've started pilling its layers off, just for fun and I came up with this idea.
I decided to make a little booklet full of photos
of me and my little love.
I've used some random pictures of us, fancy decorative tape,
some stamps and some cute flower embellishments that
I've made with cupcake paper wrappers.
In the end I've punched two little holes on the side
and tied all pages with a piece of yarn.
Cute, isn't it?
