Brownies Birthday Cake

On Thursday it was my bo-boy's birthday.

Instead of a birthday cake I've made him a chocolate brownie cake with vanilla frosting on top

and colored sprinkles.

With a heart shaped cookie cutter I've cut a small heart and put it on top and then

I filled the hole with strawberry marmalade.

Την Πέμπτη ήταν τα γενέθλια του bo-boy μου.

Αντί για τούρτα του έφτιαξα ένα brownie cake με γλάσο βανίλιας και

το διακόσμησα με πολύχρωμα τρουφάκια.

Με ένα κουπ-πατ σε σχήμα καρδιάς έκοψα μια καρδιά, την έβαλα από πάνω

και μετά γέμισα το κενό με μερμελάδα φράουλα.

 Ok, so I'm not an expert, I just used a ready mix,

but the decoration was ALL mine.

Οκ, δεν είμαι και ειδικός, απλά χρησιμοποίησα ένα έτοιμο μείγμα,

αλλά η διακόσμηση ήταν ΟΛΗ δική μου. 

It was DELICIOUS!!!

Ήταν ΠΕΝΤΑΝΟΣΤΙΜΟ!!!

Yesterday was my bo-boy's birthday! Yes, I'm exactly one week older than he is! Isn't it weird?
Well, we went out with some friends to celebrate and his good friend Dimitris had arranged to bring a Birthday Cake. We had fun! We laughed, we ate and stuff and then, it was the time for THE CAKE! We laughed SO HARD! The lady at the  candy store had made a mistake and instead of 30 candles had put 38! hahaha It was hilarious! We all started making fun of him "Oh, you're looking SO YOUNG for your age!"
Surely, a birthday to remember!

Χθες είχε τα γενέθλιά του το bo-boy μου! Ναι, είμαι ακριβώς μια εβδομάδα μεγαλύτερη από αυτόν! Δεν είναι περίεργο;
Πήγαμε λοιπόν έξω με μερικούς φίλους για να το γιορτάσουμε και ο καλός του φίλος Δημήτρης κανόνισε να φέρει μια τούρτα. Διασκεδάσαμε πολύ! Γελάσαμε, φάγαμε και μετά, ήρθε η ώρα ΤΗΣ ΤΟΥΡΤΑΣ! Γελάσαμε ΤΟΣΟ ΠΟΛΥ! Η κυρία στο ζαχαροπλαστείο έκανε λάθος και αντί  να βάλει 30 κεράκια έβαλε 38! χαχαχαχα Ήταν πάρ απολύ αστείο! Όλοι αρχίσαμε να του κάνουμε πλάκα "Ω, δείχνεις ΤΟΣΟ ΝΕΟΣ για την ηλικία σου!"
Σίγουρα ήταν γενέθλια που αξίζει να θυμάσαι!

Happy Birthday to... ME!

Yes, that's right! Today is my birthday!

A great milestone! I'm turning... 30!

OH, MY GOD! I used to think that by the time I'll be 30 I'll be old! (that was when I was like 10 or something!) So, here I am... 30 and haven't realized a thing! Where have all these years gone? I'm serious! After 25 I've lost track of time! It's not that I'm afraid of getting older (ok, maybe I am a little), it's that people expect from me to feel, act and behave in a certain way and... I'M NOT!
The only thing that makes me sad is that I've been expecting to have already done so many things in my life that I haven't. (no, this doesn't include family and kids mom!) It's never too late they say, but... who knows! I guess Birthdays make me more sad than happy lately. Even sadder than New Year's Eve! Is it only me?

Oh, well, this was supposed to be a happy post!

Ναι, σωστά κατάλαβες! Σήμερα είναι τα γενέθλιά μου!

Ημέρα ορόσημο! Κλείνω τα... 30!

Ω, ΘΕΕ ΜΟΥ! Πίστευα πως όταν θα φτάσω να είμαι 30 θα είναι μεγάλη! (αυτό βέβαια ήταν όταν ήμουν γύρω στα 10!) Έτσι, να'μαι λοιπόν... 30 και δεν έχω καταλάβει τίποτα! Πού πήγαν όλα αυτά τα χρόνια; Σοβαρά τώρα! Μετά τα 25 έχασα την αίσθηση του χρόνου! Δεν είναι ότι φοβάμαι ότι γερνάω (οκ, ίσως φοβάμαι λίγο), είναι που ο κόσμος περιμένουν από εμένα να νιώθω, να ενεργώ και να συμπεριφέρομαι με έναν συγκεκριμένο τρόπο κι εγώ... ΔΕΝ ΤΟ ΚΑΝΩ!
Το μόνο πράγμα που με στεναχωρεί είναι ότι περίμενα πως θα έχω ήδη κάνει τόσα πολλά πράγματα στη ζωή μου που δεν τα έχω κάνει. (όχι, αυτό δεν συμπεριλαμβάνει οικογένεια και παιδιά μαμά!) Ποτέ δεν είναι αργά λένε, αλλά... ποιός ξέρει! Πιστεύω ότι τελευταία τα γενέθλια με στεναχωρούν περίσσοτερο απ'ότι με χαροποιούν. Με στεναχωρούν περίσσοτερο απ'ότι και η Παραμονή Πρωτοχρονιάς! Είμαι μόνο εγώ έτσι;

Ω, τέλος πάντως, αυτό υποτείθεται ότι

θα ήταν ένα χαρούμενο post!

Hello Again!

Hello everyone! Did you miss me? I know I did. Sorry for being away but I was too tired from camp and too busy with work that I couldn't post anything, plus my internet connection has been down for 3-4 days! But today I have some photos to show you of some cool creations that I made for the kids in Summer Camp. On Wednesday we had a birthday party of Lydia who was turning 10 and I made her two decorative garlands (for the party and then she can use them in her room).

I've used yarn and cupcake paper trays.
I've also made her a Birthday Wish Book
so that everyone could write inside a wish for her.

On Thursday we painted some pine cones
and hanged them from a string.

Then again on Friday we had another birthday party.
Joseph was turning 9

and his mom wanted to celebrate it with all his new friends.
So we had Birthday Cake

The kids were so excited!
I've also made him a Birthday Wish Book

Weekend Update

Hello to you all! I hope you have had a wonderful weekend. I know I did. We had a really good weather, sunny but chilly - compared to the unstoppable rain we had for weeks, this was summer! On Saturday and on Sunday I took Savritsa for a walk in the sun with my bo-boy. She loved it! She's not that afraid any more. She actually "smelled" a couple or two doggies on the way. This has been a great progress, in addition with her "pissing on her pants" - literally- everytime she saw another dog passing by. And she was really playful as well... only with us at the time, but that's also a big step.

On Sunday was my bo-boy's birthday (he also turned 29. I'm a week older than he is :-P ) so I've made him a birthday cake on Saturday. I was so excited and anxious to have everything done before he arrived that I  totally forgot to take pictures. It's a shame! Anyway... the cake was a success and we almost ate it all! :-)

After our walk I went to my mother's and spent some "quality time" with the neglected "Little Prince", Rocky.

Sunday afternoon I spent it with my friends out for coffee and that much was it.

Αναδρομή Του Σαββατοκύριακου

Γειά σε όλους! Ελπίζω να είχατε ένα υπέροχο Σαββατοκύριακο. Εγώ πάντως είχα. Είχαμε πολύ καλό καιρό, ήλιο αλλά παγωνιά - σε σύγκριση με την ασταμάτητη βροχή που είχαμε για εβδομάδες, ήταν καλοκαίρι! Το Σάββατο και την Κυριακή πήγα τη Σαυρίτσα βόλτα στον ήλιο με το bo-boy μου. Της άρεσε πολύ! Δεν φοβάται πια τόσο πολύ. Μάλιστα "μύρισε" και κάνα δυο σκυλάκια. Ήταν μεγάλη πρόοδος, σε σχέση με το που "κατουριόταν πάνω της" - κυριολεκτικά- κάθε φορά που έβλεπε κάποιο άλλο σκυλί να περνάει. Και ήταν και πολύ παιχνιδιάρα... μόνο μ'εμάς για την ώρα, αλλά κι αυτό είναι επίσης μεγάλο βήμα.

Την Κυριακή ήταν τα γενέθλια του bo-boy μου (έκλεισε κι αυτός τα 29. Είμαι μια βδομάδα μεγαλύτερή του :-P ) κι έτσι του έφτιαξα μαι τούρτα το Σάββατο. Ήμουν τόσο ενθουσιασμένη και αγχωμένη για να τα έχω όλα ετοιμα πριν ερθει που ξέχασα εντελώς να βγάλω φωτογραφίες. Κρίμα! Τέλος πάντων... η τούρτα ήταν επιτυχία και σχεδόν τη φάγαμε όλη! :-)

Μετά τη βόλτα μας πήγα στη μαμά μου και πέρασα λίγο "ποιοτικό χρόνο" με τον παραμελημένο "Μικρό Πρίγκιπα", τον Ρόκυ.

Την Κυριακή το απόγευμα την πέρασα με τους φίλους μου έξω για καφέ και πάνω κάτω αυτό ήταν όλο.

Happy Monday

First of all I'd like to thank each and everyone of you for your birthday wishes! I really appreciate them and it's very important to me! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

I didn't do anything special. As I've told you before, I'm not so into celebrating my birthday. On Saturday night I was out with my friends and bo-boy at a concert.

 ( a greek group, Maraveyas Ilegal-REALLY GOOD!)

At 00:15 pm I had my first birhday wishes. It was so nice being with all the people I love.Then on Sunday morning I went with my bo-boy and "our little child" for a walk in the sun.

 This is "Savritsa" (transl.: a little lizard - because she always crawls).

We've changed "Loulou" with this one that suits her properly!

I really enjoyed it! Later in the day I had 2 birthday cakes, one with my family and another one with my bo-boy. It was so cute! He had brought me the same cake that my mother has picked out for me. It was so funny! But I guess they know me really well, the cake was filled with CARAMEL!!!!

Yes, they REALLY KNOW ME!

So, this has been my birthday celebration, more or less. It was simple, but I liked it. Nothing fancy!

And today, back to work. New week and I'm so excited that today starts the Indie Business Class. With the difference in the time zone though I'll have to wait a little bit longer for that! :-( Oh, I'm so thrilled!

Χαρούμενη Δευτέρα

Καταρχήν θα ήθελα να σας ευχαριστήσω όλους για τις ευχές σας! Πραγματικά τις εκτιμώ και είναι πολύ σημαντικές για εμένα! ΕΥΧΑΡΙΣΤΩ, ΕΥΧΑΡΙΣΤΩ, ΕΥΧΑΡΙΣΤΩ!

Δεν έκανα τίποτα ιδιαίτερο. Όπως σας είπα, δεν μου αρέσει και τόσο να γιορτάζω τα γενέθλιά μου. Το Σάββατο το βράδυ βγήκα με τους φίλους μου και τον bo-boy. Πήγαμε σε μια συναυλία.

Στις 00:15 π.μ. είχα τις πρώτες μου ευχές. Ήταν τόσο ωραία να είμαι με όλους όσους αγαπώ. Μετά την Κυριακή το πρωί πήγα με τον bo-boy και "το παιδί μας" βολτα στον ήλιο.

 Αυτή είναι η "Σαυρίτσα"(επειδή συνέχεια σέρνεται).

Αλλάξαμε το "Λουλού" με αυτό που της ταιριάζει καλύτερα!

Πέρασα πολύ όμορφα! Αργότερα μέσα στη μέρα έκοψα 2 τούρτες, μια με την οικογένειά μου και μια με τον bo-boy μου. Ήταν τόσο χαριτωμένο! Μου έφερε την ίδια ακριβώς τούρτα που μου είχε διαλέξει και η μαμά μου. Ήταν πολύ αστείο! Αλλά υποθέτω πως με ξέρουν πολύ καλά, η τούρτα ήταν γεμάτη  ΚΑΡΑΜΕΛΑ!!!! 

 (Ήμουν τόσο ενθουσιασμένη που ξέχασα να τραβήξω φωτο όσο ήταν ακόμη ολόκληρη!)

Ναι, ΣΙΓΟΥΡΑ ΜΕ ΞΕΡΟΥΝ! 

Αυτός ήταν ο εορτασμός των γενεθλίων μου, πάνω-κάτω. Ήταν απλός, αλλά μου άρεσε. Τίποτα φανταχτερό!

Και σήμερα πίσω στη δουλειά. Νέα εβδομάδα και είαμι πολύ ενθουσιασμένη γιατί σήμερα ξεκινάει το  Indie Business Class. Με την διαφορά ώρας όμως θα πρέπει να περιμένω λίγο περισσότερο γι'αυτό! :-( Ω, έχω τόση αγωνία!
