Look what I found!

Going through my grandmother's drawers I found a little "treasure" from the past.
Every summer, after school was over, my grandmother used to buy me an embroidery pillow (something like "paint-by-number" kind of stuff) so I would learn how to embroider AND pass my time creatively. Needless to say, I've never finished any of those. I would always start full of enthusiasm, but as the days went by, I'd prefer running around playing with my friends rather than being stuck on a chair, embroidering like "an old lady".
So, this one my friends, it's the only one that survived and it's ALMOST finished. A little worn out and dirty but I think I'll give it a try and save it, or even finish it and eventually make a cute pillow case with it.
What do you think?
Did your mother/grandmother used to put you through
creative summer breaks too?
Πώς σας φαίνεται;
δημιουργικές καλοκαιρινές διακοπές;

The whole universe on a purse

A friend of mine has asked me to make her a little purse but a little different from whatever I have made before. She wanted details of felt, buttons and embroidery. I've made her a sketch and after we've discussed all the details I got to work.
I think it turned out pretty good, don't you think?
Νομίζω ότι βγήκε αρκετά καλό, δε νομίζετε;

Crochet Necklaces - Headbands With Felt Flowers

Some more of my new Crochet Necklaces in various and different colors. Unfortunately, it's raining 3 days in a row (AGAIN!) so I won't be able to take good photos yet . I wanted to add them in my Etsy Shop, but for now I'll have to wait. Oh, well... that's ok. We can't have it all! I'm just super excited about them and I wanted to share them anyway!
So, take a look at my new creations!
Tell me what you think!

Summer Camp - Button Based Embroidery Patterns

Hello again. Today I'd like to show you the second project from Summer Camp that I've been working on. It's about Button Based Embroidery Patterns. I only made one, but I'm willing to try all out. As a matter of fact, it was the first time that I ever tried anything like it (except this time, but it was the first time that I did it with an embroidery hoop & embroidery thread).
I didn't have a clue about hand stitching, so some mistakes are obvious. Nevertheless, I'm really happy with the result. I also didn't follow the instructions... we were supposed to use a fabric with a light cotton pattern, so that it would be easy for us to trace the pattern on it. I realized it too late, so most of my stitching is made free handed, without a guideline. It's not bad for my first time.
What do you think?
