Wire Bird's Nest Rings

Look what I made today. Based on this video from YouTube I've made two Wire Bird's Nest Rings. I think they're kind of cute, don't you think?

Κοιτάξτε τι έφτιαξα σήμερα. Βασιζόμενη σε αυτό το βίντεο από το YouTube έφτιαξα δύο συρμάτινα δαχτυλίδια  σαν φωλιές πουλιού. Νομίζω ότι είναι πολύ χαριτωμένα, δε νομίζετε;

My Old - New Creation

Something that I've made but I haven't post it here. I don't know how it has slipped my mind. Fancy wallets made with clear plastic oilcloth and decorated with glitter, beads, sequins, pieces of paper e.t.c.
I have taken them with me to the Christmas Festival and now are in my shop. I haven't put them in my Etsy Shop yet, although I should have.
How Do They Look?

New Necklaces

Something new that I've made. It's been a while since I last made a necklace that resembles jewels. Just a little experiment with velvet ribbon, faux pearls, silver charms and a felt ballerina.
and another one made with different colors of yarn, brown velvet ribbon, crochet flower and pearl beads.

Crochet Flowers

A couple of days ago I received this book
that I have ordered it through Amazon.
It's AMAZING!
Inside you can find instructions for every flower that you can imagine! And it also has patterns both for knitting and crocheting. My knitting skills are still in their baby steps, but seeing the wonderful things that I could do, I may give it one more try.
So, last night I put out my crochet hook, lots of yarn and got to work. It was more difficult than I thought it would be. You see, I can't really say that I am familiar with all the abbreviations nor all the stitches, I don't know all their actual "names" to tell you the least. It has been a little disappointing! I thought that I'll never get it right e.t.c. but after a lot of try and error I ended up with these and I'm proud of myself.
Not perfect nor as good as the ones shown in the book, but at least they are decent enough and a lot different than the more simple flowers that I've been making until now.
Do you see the "kind of rose" on the bottom left?
I have put behind it a safety pin so now it's a cute brooch!
Maybe I should make more of these...

Flower Headband

Just another thing that I've made. A couple of weeks ago I saw on A Beautiful Mess this Daisy Headband by Twinkie Chan.
So I've made my version.
A little more LOUD and colorful though.
Cute, huh?

Crochet Necklaces - Headbands With Felt Flowers

Some more of my new Crochet Necklaces in various and different colors. Unfortunately, it's raining 3 days in a row (AGAIN!) so I won't be able to take good photos yet . I wanted to add them in my Etsy Shop, but for now I'll have to wait. Oh, well... that's ok. We can't have it all! I'm just super excited about them and I wanted to share them anyway!
So, take a look at my new creations!
Tell me what you think!

More Creations To Come

Wow! I'm on fire! All I had to do is take the first step and now I can't stop making things for my Etsy Shop! I'm so excited! Although the weather isn't helping me. I want to take some photos wearing my latest creations and it's raining.
:-( Boo-hoo!
All I can show you is a little sneak peek,
just to excite your imagination.
I'm really proud of them already and
they can be worn in so many different ways!
I hope I'll be able to show them in their full glory soon.
Be patient!

Summer Camp - Some More Hanging Lanterns

As I've mentioned before, I wasn't really satisfied with my previous lanterns. I wanted to try something different, be more creative. So, last night I gathered my supplies and started experimenting with colored wire. The first one that I've made was this.
Maybe I should have put some beads somewhere,
or a ribbon, or something.
I think my second one was "the deal"!
I really like it.
Once again I used ribbon, colored wire and added some beads around the handle. The special detail is the beautiful tape from Tapeswell that I've won months ago in one of their giveaways (as I've mentioned here) but haven't got the chance to use it in any project so far.
I think in the candle light the pattern looks lovely.
Don't you think?
Do you like them?

Have A Lovely Weekend!

Tutorial - Paper Flower

It's been a while since I've made a tutorial. It's not much, but it's a fun and quick little project that you can make anytime, anyplace with minimum supplies. It's so easy! It's a paper flower made out of a newspaper. You can use it to decorate a wall, a present, put it randomly on a coffee table or even use a small one on a ring. It would also be cute with lace, more beads or tinsels e.t.c. anything you can think of! (I wanted to make it cuter but I didn't have the supplies I needed for that. I'm sure you'll do better.) So, here's what you need:
You can start by cutting the newspaper in stripes
Then take the paper stripes and place them in a form of a star.
You can use glue or a stapler to secure them in place.
Then fold each end to the middle of the star and secure them again (glue or stapler).
Now with your thread and an needle, sew carefully stripes of ribbon.
In the end you can add also beads, a tinsel or anything else that you want.
That was SUPER EASY, wasn't it? I'd like to see your creations if you try it. You can send me your photos or a link to them. Thank you very much! Have a lovely day!

Thank You So Much For Your Visit! Come Again Soon!
