A Spanish Delight! - CHURROS with CHOCOLATE SAUCE

On our last day in Berlin we went to this beautiful Spanish chocolaterie to taste the most delicious hot chocolate served with churros.

Churros are some kind of Spanish doughnuts. They usually are eaten for breakfast dipped in hot chocolate or latte coffee (coffee with milk).

Την τελευταία μας μέρα στο Βερολίνο πήγαμε σε αυτή την όμορφη Ισπανική Σοκολατερί για να δοκιμάσουμε την πιο νόστιμη ζεστή σοκολάτα σερβιρισμένη με churros.

Τα churros είναι ένα είδος ισπανικών λουκουμάδων. Συνήθως τρώγονται για πρωινό βουτηγμένοι σε ζεστή σοκολάτα ή καφέ με γάλα.

 It was a tiny cozy place with a really cute decoration. 

They were also selling all kinds of different products made of chocolate.

Hot chocolate mixes, chocolate fondue, chocolate bars and more.

Ήταν ένα μικροσκοπικό ζεστό μαγαζάκι με πολλή χαριτωμένη διακόσμηση.

Πουλούσαν και διάφορα άλλα πράγματα φτιαγμένα από σοκολάτα.

Μείγματα για ζεστή σοκολάτα, έτοιμο φοντύ σοκολάτας, μπάρες σοκολάτας και άλλα.

Crunchy, deep fried golden sticks sprinkled with sugar.

Τραγανά, ξεροψημένα χρυσά ξυλαράκια με ζάχαρη.

Dipped in a delicious chocolate thick sauce that tasted so good!

Βουτηγμένα σε μια υπέροχη και πολλή νόστιμη πηχτή σοκολάτα!

 A delicious experience!

Some of them are the cutest! Too bad that they don't make cars like these any more. Technology may have made giant steps forward, but nothing compares to these beauties! Don't you agree with me?

Μερικά από αυτά είναι τόσο χαριτωμένα! Τι κρίμα που δεν φτιάχνονται πια τέτοια αυτοκίνητα. Η τεχνολογία μπορεί να έχει κάνει τεράστια βήματα μπροστά, αλλά τίποτα δεν συγκρίνεται με αυτές τις ομορφιές! Δεν συμφωνείτε μαζί μου;

While in Berlin, we had to find things to entertain our brother. He's a boy, right? He couldn't care less about museums and art galleries and other boring stuff. So, we discovered the Classic Remise Berlin.The Classic Remise Berlin, a center for vintage cars, was opened in 2003 in a historic tram depot, originally built in imperial times, construction starting in 1899. Now there are garages, services and dealers for classic cars, shops for spare parts, clothing, model cars, accessories and restaurants in this landmark building.

Όσο ήμασταν στο Βερολίνο έπρεπε να βρούμε πράγματα για να διασκεδάσει και ο αδερφός μου. Είναι αγοράκι, σωστά; Δεν τον ενδιαφέρουν ιδιαίτερα τα μουσεία, οι γκαλερί και άλλα τέτοια βαρετά. Έτσι ανακαλύψαμε το Classic Remise Berlin. Είναι ένας χώρος για vintage αυτοκίνητα και άνοιξε το 2003 σε έναν ιστορικό σταθμό τραμ. Τώρα εκεί στεγάζονται γκαράζ, συνεργεία, πωλητές κλασσικών αυτοκινήτων, μαγαζιά ανταλλακτικών, ρούχων, είδη μοντελισμού, αξεσουάρ και εστιατόρια μέσα σε αυτό το κτήριο ορόσημο.

I thought it would be boring. Noooo, it was AMAZING!!!

All these increbible vintage cars, all gathered in 16000 square meters and in a perfect -I mean PERFECT!- condition!

Νόμιζα ότι ίσως θα ήταν βαρετό για'μένα. Όοοοχι, ήταν υπέροχο!!

Όλα αυτά τα απίστευτα παλιά αυτοκίνητα, όλα συγκεντρωμένα σε 16000 τετραγωνικά μέτρα και σε άριστη -πραγματικά ΑΡΙΣΤΗ!- κατάσταση.

Ok, this may be the cutest car that has ever existed!

This turquoise car on the right is actually a boat car

(yes, things like that didn't exist only in movies).

Αυτό το γαλάζιο αυτοκίνητο στα δεξιά είναι στην πραγματικότητα ένα πλωτό αυτοκίνητο. (ναι, κάτι τέτοια τελικά δεν υπάρχουν μόνο στις ταινίες).

My brother kept making fun of me.

"No, I'm not that short! Those cars are enormous!"

Ο αδερφός μου με κορόιδευε συνέχεια.

"Όχι, δεν είμαι τόσο κοντή! Αυτά τα αυτοκίνητα είναι τεράστια!"

This van has stolen my heart.

I hope you all have had a fabulous Christmas and that you've enjoyed every bit of it, even if you're celebrating  it or not. I didn't do anything fancy, just spent time with friends and family.

The good stuff is coming this week. Me and my brother are going to visit our sister in Berlin for New Year's Eve. Super excited!!! I may pop in for a quick post or two, but possibly we'll talk again sometime around the first week of the new year.

So, I want to wish to all of you a really Happy New Year with lots of love and happiness! May all your dreams and desires will be fulfilled this year and may everyone will find what they're looking for in life!

Ελπίζω όλοι να περάσατε υπέροχα τα Χριστούγεννα και να απολαύσατε κάθε στιγμή, είτε τα γιορτάζετε, είτε όχι. Εγώ δεν έκανα τίποτα ιδιαίτερο, απλά πέρασα λίγο χρόνο με φίλους και οικογένεια.

Τα καλύτερα έρχονται αυτή την εβδομάδα. Εγώ και ο αδερφός μου θα πάμε στην αδερφή μου στο Βερολίνο για Πρωτοχρονιά. Είμαι πολλή ενθουσιασμένη!!! Μπορεί να κάνω μια-δυο αιφνιδιαστικές αναρτήσεις, αλλά το πιο πιθανό είναι να τα πούμε μέσα στην πρώτη εβδομάδα του καινούριου χρόνου.

Γι'αυτό, θέλω να σας ευχηθώ να έχετε μια πραγματικά καλή χρονιά με πολλή αγάπη και ευτυχία! Μακάρι όλα σας τα όνειρα και οι επιθυμίες να πραγματοποιηθούν αυτή τη χρονιά και μακάρι όλοι να βρουν αυτό που ψάχνουν στη ζωή!

A Weekend Getaway in Milan

Two weeks ago we took advantage of the low prices for flying tickets to Milan with Ryanair and we made a quick getaway to the Capital of Fashion! ;-)

The photos speak of their own! All I have to say is that I'm IN LOVE with Milan and with Italy in general. I've always loved the language (italian was the only language that I've wanted to learn -and did- besides english), I love italian music (italian songs are my favorite), I love italian food (pizza and carbonara are my all time favorite dishes!), I love their culture and architecture because they are so close to ours (Corfu and all the Ionian Islands in general were under Venetian rule from the mid-14th until the 18th century, so many of our buildings but also words in our dialect are influenced by them). Nevertheless, until now I've never gotten the chance to go anywhere around Italy. Such a shame! Now I'm definitely going to visit Italy again!

Πριν δύο εβδομάδες εκμεταλλευτήκαμε τα φθηνά εισιτήρια για Μιλάνο με την Ryanair  και κάναμε ένα γρήγορο ταξιδάκι μέχρι την Πρωτεύουσα της Μόδας! ;-)

Οι φωτογραφίες μιλάνε από μόνες τους! Το μόνο που έχω να πω είναι ότι ΕΡΩΤΕΥΤΗΚΑ το Μιλάνο και την Ιταλία γενικότερα. Πάντα μου άρεσε η γλώσσα (τα ιταλικά ήταν η μόνη γλώσσα που ήθελα να μάθω -και έμαθα- εκτός από τα αγγλικά), λατρεύω την ιταλική μουσική (τα ιταλικά τραγούδια είναι τα αγαπημένα μου), λατρεύω την ιταλική κουζίνα (πίτσα και καρμπονάρα είναι τα αγαπημένα μου φαγητά!), λατρεύω την κουλτούρα και την αρχιτεκτονική τους γιατί είναι τόσο κοντά και παρόμοια με την δική μας (η Κέρκυρα και γενικότερα όλα τα Ιόνια Νησιά ήταν κάτω από Ενετική κυριαρχία από τα μέσα του 14ου έως τον 18ο αιώνα, κι έτσι πολλά από τα κτήρια αλλά ακόμη και λέξεις στην τοπική μας διάλεκτο έχουν επιρρεαστεί από αυτούς). Παρόλα αυτά, μέχρι τώρα δεν είχα ποτέ την ευκαιρία να πάω πουθενά στην Ιταλία. Τι κρίμα! Τώρα σίγουρα θα την ξαναεπισκευθώ!

Anzouya in New York City

Ok, I WISH I was in New York City, but at least a part of me has been there. Doesn't it make sense? Well, my good friends Afrodite and Stella have made a trip to the Big Apple and send me back so many amazing photos. In one of them the STAR is my Cosmopolitan Purse (now Stella's) on top of the Empire State Building! Isn't it surreal?

Οκ, ΘΑ ΗΘΕΛΑ να ήμουν στη Νέα Υόρκη, αλλά τουλάχιστον ένα κομμάτι μου πήγε. Δεν βγάζει νόημα; Λοιπόν, οι καλές μου φίλες Αφροδίτη και Στέλλα έκαναν ένα ταξιδάκι μέχρι το Μεγάλο Μήλο και μου έστειλαν πίσω πολλές καταπληκτικές φωτογραφίες. Σε μια από αυτές ΠΡΩΤΑΓΩΝΙΣΤΕΙ το Cosmopolitan Τσαντάκι μου (τώρα της Στέλλας) στην κορυφή του Empire State Building! Δεν είναι σουρεαλιστικό;

Berlin - Places We've Been_part 2

Did you think that I'm finished with Berlin? Nooooooo! I have so many other photos to share with you and make you wanna jump to the next plane and fly over there!

On Thursday we went to a near city, Potsdam.

It's full of antique stores.

Cute cafes.

These houses here resemble the architecture of Holland.

You can say that I've also been to Amsterdam!  - hehehe

I believe during Spring or Summertime it would be magical!

We walked endlessly to reach it.

We didn't go inside though. It was getting dark

and we were Oh, so tired and wet!

Plus, we had to walk back!

Maybe a reason to visit back someday?

Berlin is a city worth visiting. It's full of museums and monuments all over it. All with different and all kinds of themes. I could go on for hours about the places that we've been and the stuff that we've seen.

I suppose I should make another post about the museums that we visited on our previous visit because they were more than the ones we went this time. Unless you find this topic rather boring.
