I had no idea! I haven't realized that sewing can be so... tricky! I've seen so many tutorials and they always make it seem so easy. I've took my lesson, once again, nothing is always what it seems!
Yesterday I decided to experiment with some kitchen towels,a cute baby towel and my sewing machine... what could possibly go wrong? Well... EVERYTHING! It was a disaster! -hahahaha-
At first I was so excited that everything was starting to shape up and more and more this simple piece of fabric was looking more like a little purse. I wished!
The disaster
Lessons to be learned:
1. ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS, measure right, measure well, and measure... measure... measure...
2. Don't start with the difficult and complicated, simple patterns are better. Don't expect to manage double-sided, inside-out, purses with pockets that also can serve coffee (sort of speak)! :-P
3. Measure... MEASURE.... and did I say? -MEASURE!
Oh, well... If you don't try you won't learn. I'm not thinking of quitting. I've lost a battle but not the war! It can't be so hard. I just need A LOT of practice, that's all... I hope.
At least one thing turned right and that was the decorative crochet flower that I've used to hide the little snap button.
It wasn't a total disaster after all, don't you think?
I'll try to improve, I promise!
