Sometimes you just need something sweet, right?

Something that can be made in no-time, with minimum to

zero ingredients on hand but delicious and tasty!

Κάτι που να γίνεται στο πιτς-φιτύλι, που να χρειάζεται να έχετε ελάχιστα έως

καθόλου υλικά αλλά να είναι νόστιμο και γευστικό!

 Everything you need is in this box.

You just pop the dough out, cut it in 5-6 rolls and put them in the oven.

Just as simple as that!

Ότι χρειάζεστε βρίσκεται μέσα σε αυτό το κουτί.

Απλά βγάζετε το ρολό ζύμης, το κόβετε σε 5-6 κομμάτια και τα βάζετε στο φούρνο.

Τόσο απλό!

What Are We Cooking Today?

I remember my mother always complaining (she still does) "What should I cook tomorrow?". I know, it's an every day problem, especially for mommies. You don't want to have the same meals over and over again during the week, you want variety, yet something that won't keep you all day in the kitchen and it's difficult having all the ingredients you need when you come across a great recipe. I have the solution for you, and for me who I usually have a half empty fridge with stuff that look like they don't match.

Θυμάμαι πάντα τη μαμά μου να παραπονιέται (ακόμα το κάνει) " Τι να μαγειρέψω γι'αύριο;". Ξέρω, είναι ένα καθημερινό πρόβλημα, ειδικά για τις μανούλες. Δεν θέλετε να φτιάχνετε κάθε μέρα τα ίδια φαγητά όλη τη βδομάδα, θέλετε ποικιλία, αλλά όχι και να μείνετε κλεισμένες στην κουζίνα όλη μέρα, αλλά είναι και δύσκολο να έχετε όλα τα υλικά όταν τα χρειάζεστε ειδικά όταν πέσετε πάνω σε μια καλή συνταγή. Σας έχω τη λύση και για'μένα που συνήθως έχω ένα μισοάδειο ψυγείο με πράγματα που αρχικά φαίνονται να μην ταιριάζουν.

My Fridge Food is a site for those of us who look into a freshly stocked fridge and end up eating string cheese because we don't know what to do with the rest. A lot of people seem to have this issue and have been helping others through this site. All of the recipes on MyFridge have been submitted by users, so you can also submit you own.

But how My Fridge Food works? Well, it's so simple. You can choose from a quick or detailed list of ingredients, the ingredients that you have laying around in your kitchen and not knowing what to make with them and you are directed to a list of recipes using some or all of them. Isn't it great?

Το My Fridge Food είναι ένα site για εμάς που μπορεί να κοιτάμε μέσα σε ένα γεμάτο ψυγείο και τελικά να καταλήγουμε να τρώμε απλά ένα τοστ γιατί δεν έχουμε ιδέα πώς να συνδυάσομε όλα υτά τα υλικά. Φαίνεται πως πολλοί άνθρωποι έχουν το ίδιο θέμα και τελικά βοηθάει ο ένας τον άλλον μέσα από αυτό το site. Όλες οι συνταγές στο MyFridge έχουν καταχωρηθεί από τους χρήστες του, άρα μπορείτε κι εσείς αν θέλετε να προσθέσετε τις δικές σας.

Αλλά πώς λειτουργεί το My Fridge Food; Είναι πολύ απλό. Μπορείτε να διαλέξετε από μια γρήγορη και μια λεπτομερή λίστα υλικών τα υλικά που εσείς έχετε στην κουζίνα σας και που δεν ξέρετε τι να φτιάξετε με αυτά και σας παρουσιάζεται μια λίστα από συνταγές όπου περιέχουν κάποια ή και όλα αυτά τα υλικά. Δεν είναι τέλειο;

They Draw & Cook

I've come across this site They Draw & Cook. A brother and a sister who work as designers and illustrators have come up with this idea of illustrating food and recipes. They Draw & Cook now contains the biggest and best collection of illustrated recipes anywhere, all drawn by a varied and talented bunch of artists. How cool is that?!

Βρήκα αυτό το site They Draw & Cook. Δύο αδέλφια που δουλεύουν σαν σχεδιαστές και εικονογράφοι είχαν αυτή την ιδέα του να εικονογραφήσουν φαγητά και συνταγές. Το They Draw & Cook τώρα περιέχει την μεγαλύτερη και καλύτερη συλλογή από εικονογραφημένες συνταγές, όλες σχεδιασμένες από ένα σωρό πολυποίκιλους και ταλαντούχους καλλιτέχνες. Πόσο τέλειο είναι αυτό;

Mix It Up Festive Cookies

I got the idea from Bakerella, AGES ago!

Her Cowgirl Cookies looked amazing as a gift and super easy to make! So, I thought to give them a try. Well, not the actual cookies, but to make the recipe as a gift to "mommy", Afrodite's mother.

These jars looked PERFECT!

And the adventure began! - hahahaha

At first I couldn't find the proper jar, so the one I found is a little bit larger and has a different closure, that means that the piece of cloth that I wanted to put on top, well, doesn't look really good with it on it! Due to the larger jar, the portions that I've put inside didn't fill it up and so they've mixed up a little and I didn't have the clean, perfect look where all ingredients are separated. And last, but not least, I couldn't find the EXACT ingredients, so I've used my imagination! Corn flakes instead of cooking oats, peanuts instead of chopped pecans and rice stars dipped in chocolate instead of semi-sweet chocolate chips.

I'm A MASTER OF DISASTER!
I can't follow instructions, remember? - hahaha

The only thing that looked good are the labels I've made!

So, this is my version which I renamed it into

"Mix It Up Festive Cookies"!

I don't know yet if this recipe works, or if it tastes good.

Maybe I should try it before mommy does! Ooops!
