Η ιστορία πίσω από την φωτογραφία!

 Ποιός, πού, πότε, γιατί κ.τ.λ.

Οκ, μπορείτε να γελάσετε

όσο θέλετε!

Who: Me and my siblings.

Where: In front of Achilles' statue in Elisabeth's of Bavaria Achillion Palace.

When: Probably a Sunday of 1990.

Why: Because my father used to love

taking photos of us!

(great photographer, Achilles' head

is cut off from the picture. But after all he wanted to

take a picture of us and not the statue!)

Every Sunday after lunch we would dress up and my parents would take us for a drive around, we would visit different places and finally we would go out for dinner. This was one of these days. I think it was the first time that we've ever been to Achillion but from our expressions you can understand that we were all like "Oh, dad, please, not another photo! We've had enough modelling around the palace!" hahaha

Ποιος: Εγώ και τα αδέρφια μου.

Πού: Μπροστά από το άγαλμα του Αχιλλέα στο παλάτι 

Αχίλλειο της Ελισάβετ της Βαυαρίας.

Πότε: Πιθανόν κάποια Κυριακή του 1990.

Γιατί: Γιατί ο πατέρας μου λάτρευε

να μας βγάζει φωτογραφίες.

(σπουδαίος φωτογράφος, το κεφάλι του Αχιλλέα είναι 

κομμένο από την φωτογραφία. Αλλά έτσι κι αλλιώς,

εμάς ήθελα να τραβήξει και όχι το άγαλμα!)

Κάθε Κυριακή μετά το μεσημεριανό φορούσαμε τα "καλά μας" και οι γονείς μας μας πήγαιναν βόλτα με το αυτοκίνητο, πηγαίναμε σε διάφορα μέρη και καταλήγαμε για βραδυνό κάπου έξω. Αυτή ήταν μια από αυτές τις μέρες. Νομίζω ότι πρέπει να ήταν η πρώτη φορά που πήγαμε στο Αχίλλειο αλλά από τις εκφράσεις μας μπορείτε να καταλάβετε ότι ήμασταν όλοι σαςν "Ω, μπαμπά, σε παρακαλώ, όχι και άλλη φωτογραφία! Αρκετά ποζάραμε σε όλο το παλάτι!" χαχαχαχα

"ο δαίμονας του ίντερνετ" την εξαφάνισε την πρώτη φορά).

Who: Μe and my mommy

Where: I think it was a wedding party.

When: I have no idea!

Why: Because there was a wedding photographer
around and was taking pictures of everyone.

I look kind of cute. My mother looks a bit strange because she doesn't really like her photo to be taken and she must have been a little abstract. The thing that I remember is that her outfit was made by her and that the dress I was wearing was my favorite! Oh, and I loved wearing hair bands! :-) 

Ποιός: Εγώ και η μαμά μου.

Πού: Νομίζω πως ήταν σε κάποιο γάμο.

Πότε: Δεν έχω ιδέα!

Γιατί: Γιατί υπήρχε ένας φωτογράφος που

τους φωτογράφιζε όλους.

Εγώ είμαι χαριτωμένη. Η μαμά μου φαίνεται λίγο περίεργη γιατί δεν τις αρέσει να την φωτογραφίζουν και πρέπει να ήταν και λίγο αφηρημένη. Αυτό που θυμάμαι είναι ότι το συνολάκι της το είχε ράψει μόνη της και ότι το φόρεμα που φορούσα ήταν το αγαπημένο μου! Ω, και ότι μου άρεσε πολύ να φοράω στέκες! :-)

A really embarrassing photo that I should

have shared with you last week

that it was our National Holiday of March 25th.

Μια πολλή ντροπιαστική φωτογραφία που

θα έπρεπε να είχα μοιραστεί μαζί σας

την προηγούμενη εβδομάδα που ήταν η

Εθνική Εορτή της 25ης Μαρτίου.

Who: Μe and my sister.

Where: In our living room.

When: March 25th. I believe it must be around 1991.
I was 10 and she was 7.

Why: Because it was a National Holiday
and we had to dress up for the celebration in school.

How embarrassing! I've always hated that and especially posing for my photograph to be taken. We were wearing the traditional Corfiot uniform and I was feeling uncomfortable. My sister, on the other hand, LOVED the "publicity"! She has always loved being in front of a camera! ;-)

Ποιός: Εγώ και η αδελφή μου.

Πού: Στο σαλόνι μας.

Πότε: 25 Μαρτίου. Πιστεύω ότι πρέπει να

ήταν γύρω στο 1991.

Ήμουν 10 και ήταν 7.

Γιατί: Γιατί ήταν Εθνική Εορτή και έπρεπε

να ντυθούμε για τη γιορτή στο σχολείο.

Τι ντροπή! Ποτέ δεν μου άρεσε και ειδικά να ποζάρω για να βγω φωτογραφία. Φορούσαμε παραδοσιακές Κερκυραϊκές στολές κι εγώ ένιωθα άβολα. Η αδερφή μου από την άλλη, ΛΑΤΡΕΥΕ τη "δημοσιότητα"! Πάντα της άρεσε να είναι μπροστά από μια κάμερα! ;-)

Carnival season may be over but

I have one last photo to show you.

Η περίοδος του Καρναβαλιού μπορεί να τελείωσε αλλά

έχω μια τελευταία φωτογραφία να σας δείξω.

Who: Me as Little Red Riding Hood and my dad.

Where: In the streets of Corfu.

When: My first Carnival season in 1982.

Why: Because it has been the very first time

that I was dressed up and I was SO CUTE! :-)

Ποιός: Εγώ σαν Κοκκινοσκουφίτσα και ο μπαμπάς μου.

Πού: Στους δρόμους της Κέρκυρας

Πότε: Το πρώτο μου Καρναβάλι το 1982.

Γιατί: Γιατί ήταν η πρώτη φορά που μασκαρευόμουν

και ήμουν ΤΟΣΟ ΧΑΡΙΤΩΜΕΝΗ! :-)

Of course I don't have any memory of that day. I was too little to remember but that picture always makes me smile because I was so tiny and look so happy weaving my little basket back and forth. ADORABLE!

Φυσικά δεν έχω καμμία ανάμνηση από αυτή τη μέρα. Ήμουν πολύ μικρή για να θυμάμαι αλλά αυτή η φωτογραφία πάντα με κάνει να χαμογελάω γιατί ήμουν τόσο μικροσκοπική και φαίνομαι τόσο χαρούμενη κουνώντας το καλαθάκι μου πάνω-κάτω. ΑΞΙΑΓΑΠΗΤΗ!

Η ιστορία πίσω από την φωτογραφία!

 Ποιός, πού, πότε, γιατί κ.τ.λ.

Οκ, μπορείτε να γελάσετε

όσο θέλετε!

Who: Me and the team of junior Scouts.

Where: In the streets of Corfu.

When: Carnival season 1994.

Why: Because someone older had to accompany them!

Ποιός: Εγώ και η ομάδα των Λυκοπούλωω των Προσκόπων.

Πού: Στους δρόμους της Κέρκυρας

Πότε: Το Καρναβάλι 1994.

Γιατί: Γιατί κάποιος μεγαλύτερος έπρεπε να τα συνοδεύει!

It was the group of the Scouts (yes, I've been a Scout!) and these were the little ones. We were dressed up as Nils Holgersson, although my bo-boy makes fun of me and says that we were dressed up as gypsies!

We had so much fun! At first I didn't want to go but eventually they have convinced me.

This second photo was found in a local photo shop. A photographer had took this shot without me knowing it. Cool, huh?

Ήταν το γκρουπ των Προσκόπων (ναι, ήμουν και Πρόσκοπος!) και αυτά ήταν τα μικρά, τα Λυκόπουλα. Είχαμε ντυθεί Nils Holgersson, αν και ο bo-boys μου με κοροϊδεύει και λέει ότι είχαμε ντυθεί γυφτάκια!

Είχε τόση πλάκα! Στην αρχή δεν ήθελα να πάω αλλά τελικά με έπεισαν.

Τη δεύτερη φωτογραφία την είχε βρει ο πατέρας μου σε ένα τοπικό φωτογραφείο. Ένας φωτογράφος με είχε τραβήξει χωρίς να το ξέρω. Καλό, ε;

The Carnival Season has begun here in Greece and what better photo for this week than one of me and my siblings all dressed up!

Who: Me and my siblings.

Where: Somewhere in Corfu town.

(if you know anything about Corfu,

we are posing in front of EverGreen)

When: Maybe 1989?

Why: Because it was Carnival!

Ποιός: Εγώ και τα αδέλφια μου.

Πού: Κάπου στην πόλη της Κέρκυρας

(αν γνωρίζετε από Κέρκυρα,

ποζάρουμε μπροστά από το EverGreen)

Πότε:  Ίσως 1989;

Γιατί: Γιατί ήταν Καρναβάλι!

This picture is hilarious! I'm dressed up as Carmen, my sister is a Ballerina and my brother... well, I don't really know! A Super Hero of some sort! I look like a bunny with my two front baby teeth and we all look 100 Kgr fatter because my mother always used to dress us with AT LEAST 2 sweaters under our uniform so that we won't catch a cold! hahahaha A Child's drama! Did you have any of those?

Αυτή η φωτογραφία είναι ξεκαρδιστική! Είμαι ντυμένη Κάρμεν, η αδελφή μου Μπαλαρίνα και ο αδελφός μου... βασικά, δεν έχω ιδέα! Κάποιο είδος Σούπερ Ήρωα! Εγώ μοιάζω με κουνελάκι με τα δύο παιδικά ακόμα μπροστινά μου δόντια και όλοι δείχνουμε 100 κιλά παχύτεροι γιατί η μαμά μου πάντα μας έντυνε με ΤΟΥΛΑΧΙΣΤΟΝ 2 πουλόβερ κάτω από τη στολή μας για να μην κρυώσουμε! χαχαχαχα Το δράμα ενός παιδιού! Το είχατε κι εσείς;
